Become a Volunteer

At ARCG, every gesture counts. Giving a little of your time means giving a lot: a presence, a listening ear, a shared moment.

Our volunteers support gay seniors by building sincere connections and helping to break isolation.

No matter your background, you can get involved in your own way.
Whether through friendly visits, helping out at activities, or simply sharing your warmth and kindness.

Together, let’s build a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant community.

I joined ARCG as a volunteer in 2025 with the goal of serving my LGBTQ+ community, especially seniors, with one fundamental objective: preventing isolation.Coming from a country where communication with friends and family happens daily—often throughout the day—I am naturally someone who values connection, sharing, and building meaningful relationships. This has truly helped me in my role supporting older adults. I am currently paired with two wonderful individuals. Courteous and respectful relationships began to form at first, but with time, something deeper has grown. With Carole, for example, we have developed a genuine friendship. Trust has taken root between me and one of the participants—we confide in each other, we share our joys and our hardships, our worries and our laughter. Our bond has grown into a sincere and meaningful friendship.
