Seniors and retirees of the gay community

ARCG

Our mission

The ARCG – Seniors and Retirees of the Gay Community is a non-profit organization that brings together gay men aged 50 and over. Its mission is to break the isolation, support autonomy and promote social participation of its members, while preserving their physical, mental and community balance.

We work to:

  • Encourage the integration and maintenance of seniors in their living environment.
  • Prevent loss of autonomy factors in collaboration with our health and community service partners.
  • Promote mutual aid among members and the involvement of volunteers and caregivers.
  • To promote the recognition of the importance of chosen families and solidarity networks.
  • Represent the needs and interests of our members to decision-making bodies.
  • Promote research and development of new initiatives for LGBTQ+ seniors.

Through these actions, the ARCG actively contributes to building an inclusive, supportive and respectful environment, where each member can age with dignity and pride.
